1. I enjoyed this post because it’s the first thing in a week that’s tagged with my name and isn’t a catalog model dressed as a sensual hamburger or piece of candy corn.

    These are scans from SKIM, the first graphic novel I did with my cousin Mariko. Our new one comes out in the Spring.

    I hear this a lot lately… ADULTS saying: “ooh, I read Skim when I was in junior high and it really spoke to me!” It makes me feel very old. Old and nice.

    This is the graphic novel that got me into graphic novels.

    I read it for the first time when I was 17; I’m 22 now and still re-reading it over and over with the same undeniably strong sense of association I felt when I was younger. 

    Everyone needs to read this piece of magic.
